My daughter (2 months old) does her best Beyonce impression. I think its probably parental bias, but I find this video hilarious! Look at that belly jiggle!

Peanut Poop
My daughter (2 months old) sits in her poop spot and does what she does best. Most of the video is her stretching and getting loose. Then she lets it rip! Enjoy!

2011 a Year in Review
2011 was the biggest year of my 33 years. On St. Patty's day 3/17/2011, Mimi and I welcomed into the world our first born Leeann Patricia Oji. The events leading up to her birth are a story in themselves so they'll be saved for another time. What is also a story in itself is how Leeann's name was chosen.
Leading up to our daughter's birth, Mimi and I struggled with deciding on a name. Mimi liked Japanese names, I liked Star Trek names, and neither of us liked each others names. One name we did agree on was Patricia. Patricia was Mimi's Mom's name and since she was born on St. Patty's day, it seemed a no brainer. However, when we looked at our daughter, we didn't see a Patty, so Patricia became her middle name.
All of the first name's Mimi and I discussed seemed arbitrary to me, and I wanted a name that had significance. I also wanted all of our family to have the same last name. Mimi was determined to keep her last name, so I decided to change mine. I changed my last name from Lee to Oji, and my middle name from Benjamin to Li (my parents last name). Instead of just erasing Lee from my identity completely, I combined it with my Mom and Sister's middle name Ann, and Leeann had a first name. Leeann can be spelled in a variety of ways, but this spelling like her name has meaning.
The other person who is no longer a Lee is my Sister. On Saturday, November 12, 2011, Rebecca Ann Lee became Rebecca Ann Lansen when she married her long time boyfriend Daniel Austin Lansen. It was the fanciest wedding I've ever been too, and the second best of all time (mine being the first). I'm very happy for them and I know they'll have a lifetime of happiness together.

On Friday, September 9, 2011, Mimi and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. Most know that the 1 year anniversary is the Paper anniversary. Not as many know that the 5 year anniversary is the Wood anniversary. Appropriately Mimi gave me wood, and I in turn gave it right back to her ;-). Seriously though, we had a romantic 1 night getaway to Napa where we ate at Morimotos and stayed at the Westin Versasa Napa. It was our 1st night away from our daughter and we made the most of it!
Can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for my family...
Best Trailer EVER = Worst Movie EVER
This is a very late review of a movie that's been out on Blu-ray for a while, but I just watched Sucker Punch last night, so here it goes...
I wish the people that made the trailer for Sucker Punch made the movie instead. Watch the trailer below and you'll be dazzled by what appears to be a live action Japanese Anime featuring giant samurai, dragons, robots, and scantily clad young ladies. In a nutshell, all the makings of a perfect movie.

If only Zack Snyder could have delivered on the promise of awesomeness this trailer made; this would be a very different review. Zack Snyder is the director of 300, Watchmen, and the upcoming Superman movie, so you'd think with his pedigree for comic book movies that Sucker Punch (also written by him) would be bad ass. Unfortunately for me, it wasn't bad ass at all.
For me, Sucker Punch starts to go down hill when you get your first glimpse of the cliche evil step father (about 30 seconds into the movie). Normally I can get past poorly written characters, but when it's followed by a confusing illogical sequence of events, I suddenly become very aware that I'm watching a bad movie. I felt this sense of awareness throughout Sucker Punch, so much so, that even the scenes I loved from the trailer seemed stupid and out of place.
I'm pretty sure I'm the target audience for this movie since it debuted at ComicCon and at least 1 version of the trailer started off with a Zeppelin song. I second guess that notion though because the soundtrack for this movie is anything but classic. It features a bunch of cover songs by emo artists I've never heard of. As a rule I don't like cover songs or emo artists, so that was strike 2 and 3.
Strike 4 (I realize I'm deviating from the Baseball metaphor) was the poor acting and or dialogue. As an amateur critic, I'm never sure whether it's the writing that spoils a performance, or the delivery of that writing, so to be safe, I'll say that both sucked.
Because of all of these negatives, the awesome scenes from the trailer without any meaningful context felt like cut scenes from a video game I never played and therefore don't care about.
The only way this movie could be saved is if it was edited down from it's 110 minute run time to something around 10 minutes. Basically find a way to link all of the action scenes together seamlessly and you got yourself a killer short film.
Copying my friend Gavin's movie rating system (http://www.GavinGradesTheMovies.com/), I give this movie a F-.

1 Year of Flag Football
I just finished my 5th season of Roseville Flag Football. I started a Flag Football team called the "Silly Nannies" (http://www.SillyNannies.com/) last January to compete in a local league here in Roseville.
The team started with a few of my neighbors, my dentist, and my wife's cousin's ex-boyfriend. Our 1st season we went 1-6 as the local league proved to be much more competitive than I'd anticipated. Between the 1st and 2nd season my daughter was born, so I handed over the coaching reigns to my wife's cousin's ex-boyfriend (Kelley). Kelley has since proved to be the true leader of our team, and I've gladly stepped down to a supportive Assistant Coach role.
Our team has evolved over the past year as we've grown in popularity and size. We're now the Roseville Renegades (http://www.RosevilleRenegades.com/), and we play in 2 local leagues.
This season marks the start of our 2nd year as a team. Even though it's Kelley's team now, I still take great pride in the fact that I started our team and still play an active role as an Assistant Coach and player.
Go Renegades!

Ode to my old Motorcycle
Many years ago I fancied myself a bad ass. I wasn't a bad ass, but I fancied myself one. My motorcycle was a reflection of my bad assness. It was a custom 100th Anniversary Indian, that cost me more than all of the cars I've ever owned combined. It was a money pit of repairs and insurance, but it was a great ride. Her name was Lorraine.

Extreme Uncle Patrick
My brother-in-law is one of the most interesting guys I know. By trade, he's a farmer in Amiens, Queensland (Australia). Along with being a successful farmer, he's also one of the most talented athletes I've ever seen. He excels at any sport he tries and is generally fearless. Here's a video of him cliff diving this past Boxer Day.
